The fourth annual Digital Services Awards (DSA) recently celebrated 44 outstanding contributors who are shaping Singapore's digital landscape. This year's DSA winners have made significant strides in enhancing public services through innovative digital solutions.

The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) continued its winning streak, earning recognition for its groundbreaking digital services. ICA's latest innovation, an AI-powered border control system, has significantly transformed the entry experience for both citizens and visitors. By dramatically reducing waiting times at checkpoints while simultaneously enhancing security measures, this system showcases how digital innovation can improve efficiency without compromising safety.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education clinched the "Most User-Centric Website" award for its adaptive learning platform. This innovative system uses machine learning algorithms to to personalize educational content, addressing individual student needs and learning styles. By tailoring the learning experience, MOE aims to boost student engagement and improve overall educational outcomes across Singapore's schools.

Citizen Contributors: Driving Grassroots Contribution
Grassroots contributions helping to shape Singapore's user-centric digital government services: The nine Outstanding Citizen Contributors receive their awards on stage at the Digital Services Awards 2024.
The DSA also recognised nine outstanding citizen contributors who have played crucial roles in improving government digital services. Three awardees were selected through an open call for nominations across the Whole-of-Government, while six were from citizen fuelled communities, Tech Kaki and CrowdTaskSG.
Among them was Qhek Hwee Boon, who is a CPF Volunteer (CPFV):
"We feel that a lot of the seniors don't have the confidence to use all these apps, especially with all the prevalent scams... By guiding them on how to use these apps, they gain confidence, which we find rewarding."
