Singpass is every Singapore resident's trusted digital identity to prove who we are when performing everyday transactions like checking our CPF balance, booking medical appointments, renewing insurance and more. Access over 2,700 services across 800 government agencies and businesses, simply by authenticating with your biometrics or SMS Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
Created by GovTech as a key enabler of Singapore's digital economy, Singpass facilitates over 41 million transactions every month. Out of 5 million Singpass users, more than 4.2 million people use the Singpass app to easily log in to services, prove their identity over counters, digitally sign documents and do more on the go.

Singpass employs Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) methods such as the Singpass app, Face Verification and SMS One-Time Passwords (OTP) to provide an additional layer of security and better protect users' data.
Users can log in to digital services easily and securely in a few ways:

Use the Singpass app with one's fingerprint, face or a six-digit passcode, without typing long passwords.

Enter one's Singpass ID and password on a desktop or mobile web browser followed by Face Verification, or keying in an SMS OTP.
Benefits of using Singpass
Why use the Singpass app?
Since the mobile app's launch in 2018, we have been progressively adding useful features to enable simpler transactions. Current app features include:
1. Digital IC to prove your identity over government counters.
You can also scan the Digital IC barcode at kiosks such as those in libraries and polyclinics.
2. One-tap access to government digital services
Log in to commonly used government digital services like CPF, HDB, and IRAS via the shortcuts. Last used services are also displayed for easy access. You can also personalise your list of favourite services.
3. Have your key information on hand
View your profile where you always have your important information such as CPF balance, passport number and HDB details on hand.
4. Receive timely notifications from Singpass
For instance, users may receive important announcements, transactional alerts, and security advisories in their Singpass app inbox.
5. Digitally sign documents
Scan the QR code on the document and authenticate with Singpass. This removes the need for users to be physically present to sign documents and agreements with organisations that offer the Sign with Singpass service.
6. Corporate profiles
Authorised individuals of corporate entities can switch to their corporate profile to access and view selected corporate data (users must have a valid Corppass account).

How to use Singpass?
All Singaporean Citizens, Permanent Residents (PRs) and Foreign Identification Number (FIN) holders aged 15 years old and above are eligible for Singpass. Set up your account in three easy steps:

Register at www.singpass.gov.sg instantly via Face Verification, or request a One-Time Password PIN mailer to be sent to your registered address.

Create your Singpass password, activate SMS 2FA and update your contact information.

If you have a smartphone or tablet and Internet connectivity, install the Singpass app on your device via the official app stores (Apple App Store, Google Play Storeand Huawei AppGallery).

Keeping your Singpass safe
Scams are on the rise, and constantly changing. While security measures are in place, we must be alert when transacting online and stay informed to protect ourselves from scams.
Follow these security tips to safeguard your digital identity:
Your Singpass is only for you. You may be held criminally liable if your Singpass account is used by others for criminal activities. Avoid giving your Singpass credentials (e.g. Singpass ID, password and 2FA details) to others.
