Women in GovTech

Empowering women for tech success: Raising awareness, fostering community support, and driving change in the industry.
Established in 2021, GovTech's Women in GovTech Employee Resource Group
(WiG ERG) was inaugurated as the first employee resource group dedicated
to cultivating and retaining female talent within the organisation. WiG
ERG is managed by a ExCo of GovTechies who volunteers across GovTech and
supported by a team of Executive Sponsors from the Leadership team.
Today, WiG ERG has initiated diversity workshops, community engagement
programmes, a Girls-in-Tech mentoring programme with almost 200 sign-ups
and 130 mentors recruited across GovTech, and career events featuring industry
leaders such as Airbnb, SheLovesTech, Uber, and more. WiG ERG continues
to lead the charge in creating an inclusive environment where every individual
has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.
International Women's Day Celebrations
We’re all about celebrating women and empowering them with skills set
to advance their career!
In 2024, we hosted our first conference in collaboration with IMDA to
celebrate International Women’s Day. With over 200 attendees from over
50 public agencies, the event featured a career workshop, and a human library
where participants engaged with inspiring women leaders from Microsoft,
Spotify, and more. Beyond celebrating accomplishments, it was a great platform
to form new connections, and to facilitate the exchange of insights, stories
of resilience and leadership.
For public officers keen to attend 2025 edition, happening on 4 April
2025, please submit this form by
1 April 2025.
